  • Purdue's NSCORT on Controlled Ecological Life Support Systems (CELSS) this NASA-sponsored project at Purdue University was a multi-disciplinary research center dedicated to the design and development of Bioregenerative and Controlled Ecological Life Support Systems for long-duration manned space and terrestrial applications. The Center was active for five years from 1990 and was disbanded in November of 1995.
